Actor Jung Woo Sung showed that he is not scared of being on the 'blacklist' by demonstrating freedom of speech at a recent movie event.
On November 20, Jung Woo Sung made a surprise appearance at a fan movie viewing event for his new film, 'Asura.' When fans asked the actor to re-enact a scene from the movie, where he yells, "Park Sun Bae, come outside!" Jung Woo Jung accepted the challenge, except he changed the line to, "Park Geun Hye (Korean President), come outside!"
The new line was also used as a chant during citizen protests against the President who is involved in a corruption scandal.
Jung Woo Sung's brave gesture became viral on various social media outlets, and fans are saying, "He is so cool and brave."
Jung Woo Sung is one of many entertainers who were on the leaked blacklist created by President Park's officials for their political statements against the President. It included 594 people who work in the entertainment industry, including Song Kang Ho, Kim Hye Soo, and Jung Woo Sung.
In a recent interview that addressed the blacklist issue, Jung Woo Sung had stated, "When you stand up against those with power, you end up on the 'list'...But you must live expressing yourself freely."
