According to media reports, actor Park Yoo Hwan was sued by a woman back in May of this year for reportedly ending their common-law marriage.

The woman, A, claimed in her suit, "Park Yoo Hwan ended [our] common-law marriage one-sidedly... I request that he pay compensation for mental and physical damages caused by his actions."

The two parties will be summoned to court this coming August 9. Regarding the news, Park Yoo Hwan's label C-Jes Entertainment stated, "The lawsuit involving Park Yoo Hwan is a civil case, for which the verdict will be determined in court. We will do our best to prevent any defamation of character on Park Yoo Hwan during the duration of his court case. We will release an official statement once the court has come to a verdict."

Actor Park Yoo Hwan is also widely known as the younger brother of JYJ's Yoochun. Stay tuned for updates.

Its time South Korea really took a hard look at there law book and some of there laws really need a make over and some need just need to be thrown off the law book..and i think to Sue someone should be one of them, its just way too easy in that country to sue people..there is no such thing in our law books, and the reason being everyone would be suing people every god damn day for breaking there nails to touching there fury friends, when will it end, and if your a celebrity you have such a high risk of getting sued living in South Korea, so it pays not to even look at a girl because she will sue you lol

NO IDEA here if S.KOREA Law has anything along the lines of PALIMONY or not. Actually, PALIMONY is somewhat 'sketchy' as a LEGAL concept in the USA. As people have pointed it out, it is often UNCLEAR what people's understandings and expectations are over time in a 'shared living but no legal marriage' situation.

The AKP headline here is rather misleading. It is TO BE DETERMINED by a COURT of LAW *IF* an actual "Common Law Marriage' situation does exist. The *BURDEN OF PROOF* will be on Ms. 'A' here, to PROVE that to the COURT's satisfaction. It is NOT like PARK YOO HWAN has to DISPROVE the existence of a COMMON LAW MARRIAGE situation.

Soo what kind of physical damages she had? Broken in frustration nails after she realised that her celeb boyfriend broke up with her?

Girl take a fucking chill pill. Boohoo he broke up with you. Wtf you guys weren't even married, and if you guys ever got married and he wanted a divorce then boohoo again. Seriously. Everyone moves out and breaks up and goes separate ways, relax . You can't own everyone and everything. He's a human. It's called MOVING ON with life.

Most breakups are one sided. Mental and physical damages that he caused as the result. I wonder why he broke up with her in the first place? Maybe she was always crazy and he wanted out?? Anyone who sues for a break up really is nuts. It seems that you can sue for anything in South Korea. What is next? The restaurant that you were eating at didn't sit you fast enough for your liking????

Common Law Marriage is when two people live together for a certain time period and are married but never go through the ceremony and actual marriage process. Which is basically being boyfriend and girlfriend and not being married. She's basically having a bitch fit because he broke up with her.

Both brothers definitely have bad taste in women ((( It's not like all young women in Korea are ready to sue for money over nothing but still they've managed to chose such partners.
