MC Meta and Choi Sam diss 'SMTM' and hip-hop culture in 'Show Me The Hip-Hop' MV

Rap shows like 'Show Me The Money' and 'Unpretty Rapstar' are hugely popular these days, and rap culture is making its way into the mainstream in Korea. However, not everyone's loving this influx.

MC Meta released his music video "Show Me the Hip-Hop" featuring Choi Sam. The track is filled with lyrics saying 'Unpretty Rapstar' and 'SMTM' especially are not real hip-hop, but focused on money and is giving a bad influence on young kids.

The beginning of the MV starts off with clips from controversial events that happened during the fourth season of 'SMTM', including the disorganized 'freestyle battle' where contestants went crazy trying to grab ahold of the mic, Song Min Ho's "spread your legs" rap, and Blacknut 'pantsing' himself. The "spread your legs" lines are also referenced in Choi Sam's lyrics as well as how people have been saying "hip-hop is always like that."

You can see the MV above, and decide whether you think the lyrics are fair and just or too harsh.
