Lee Tae Im's agency has stated that the actress is currently reflecting and apologetic about her recently reported behavior. Though Lee Tae Im stated in an interview that she cursed at Yewon because the idol star had spoken to her informally, Yewon's agency Star Empire Entertainment as well as other sources have denied her assertions.
Her label Onion Management stated that the actress had been going through a rough time, resulting in a fit of anger towards Yewon. The company released an official statement on March 4, saying, "We're addressing the current situation involving Lee Tae Im's leave from MBC's 'Tutoring Across Generations' and absence from the filming of SBS' 'My Heart Shines'."
"Lee Tae Im was recently filming for SBS' 'My Heart Shines' and 'MBC's 'Tutoring Across Generations'. Since her movie release in 2014, things completely unrelated to the program like her body parts have become issues in the media, and she's been going through a rough time because of the countless negative comments online. She was also severely hurt from a canceled drama at around the same time."
The agency further stated that Lee Tae Im has been under stress due to headlines about her body, negative statements about her family and friends, and insomnia, which she received hospital treatment for. The actress is said to have been hospitalized on February 26, but she made her leave from the hospital in order to make it to her drama filming on March 3.
"And Lee Tae Im is deeply regretful and reflecting on her behavior, and she's going through a hard time because of it. She's currently trying her best to film at a regular schedule for her drama filming."
Onion Management added that the staff will be doing its best to make sure Lee Tae Im's mental state is stable and asked that the public consider that she's a daughter as well as older sister to a family.
"We deeply apologize to the staff and costars of 'Tutoring Across Generations' as well as the staff who suffered in the cold, director, writer, and costars of 'My Heart Shines'. Onion Management will be trying its best to aid in keeping up Lee Tae Im's health and her filming schedule, so we ask for encouragement and support. Once again, we apologize for causing worry because of this situation."
