Jonghyun says that he wouldn't write songs for SHINee

He said, "When I was younger, my dream was to become a composer not a singer. Even right now, I still dream of becoming a composer." 

Jonghyun continued, "However, I don't think I would write SHINee's songs. When it comes to SHINee's colors and direction, rather than having a member decide, I think it would be better to have better composers interpret [the group] in different colors."

Even though Jonghyun may think that it's best for the progression of the group to have the best group of composers, it can't hurt to have the members include their own interpretations of the group's image or personality. Plus, the fans would love to hear songs composed by the members.

Also, when Jonghyun was asked about the advantages that he has as a DJ compared to Bae Chul Soo and Tablo, the idol said, "I am younger than the two."
