'Superstar K4' contestant reveals that his ex-girlfriend is a member of a girl group

A 'Superstar K4' contestant has grabbed the attention of viewers after revealing that his ex-girlfriend is now a member of a popular idol group.

On the September 7th broadcast of Mnet's 'Superstar K4', the contestant from the regional auditions, introduced himself as Jung Ee Chul and revealed an interesting tidbit about his ex-girlfriend.

"She's currently active as a member of a girl group and is also appearing in dramas," he said. "Her popularity soared just like a roller coaster... We promised each other to become the best with her as a popular actress and me as a singer."

Unfortunately, Jung Ee Chul was unable to impress the judges with his cover of COOL's "Aloha".

Judge Lee Seung Chul evaluated the contestant stating, "Your voice is a bit light," ending with an elimination and judge Baek Ji Young also agreeing.

Reflecting on his disqualification, Jung Ee Chul expressed that he was able to receive the courage to try out from his ex-girlfriend. "I will also work hard on my singing and be the next superstar."
