Lee Min Jung revealed that she once cried because of Lee Byung Hun’s eating habits.
On the January 4 broadcast of JTBC's ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’ Lee Min Jung and Yoo Ji Tae appeared together as guests to promote their TVING drama 'Villains.'
During the show, Kim Sung Joo asked Lee Min Jung, “Have you ever had a couple’s argument over meals?”
Lee Min Jung, who is well known for her impressive cooking skills, responded with a surprising confession, saying, “I even cried during our newlywed days.”
She explained, “During our newlywed days, I wanted to put more care into meals. But before I even finished serving the soup, he was already done eating.”
Elaborating on just how fast Lee Byung Hun eats without waiting for her, Lee Min Jung added, “He finished it all in five minutes, so I felt really hurt. I hadn’t even taken a single spoonful yet."
She then provided more context, saying, “He’s someone who has been filming on set for about 30 years, so eating quickly and getting ready quickly became a habit.”
Fortunately, Lee Min Jung shared that his habits have slowly begun to change.
“Now it’s stretched out a bit to almost 10 minutes. He waits for the soup while shaking his leg, and once the soup comes, he eats slowly while still shaking his leg, waiting until I sit down. That’s when it finally became about 10 minutes,” said Lee Min Jung.
She added with a laugh, “But I’ve also sped up a bit, so now we’re more or less in sync.”
Meanwhile, Yoo Ji Tae also shared that he eats quickly, expressing empathy for Lee Byung Hun’s habit.
