Psy's "Right Now" gets banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family

Yet another song has been added to the seemingly endless list of music banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. It's just been reported that Psy's 5th album title track, "Right Now", has been slapped with a 'R19' sticker for obscene lyrics. On September 6th, Psy updated his me2day with the message, "I was told this startling truth not long ago The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family appointed my song 'Right Now' as R19 material They said it's because of the line, 'Life is like toxic alcohol'." Psy continued, "This is exactly why life is like toxic alcohol." Fans and netizens expressed their disbelief with, "I don't understand them", "Do they want us to only listen to children's songs?", and "This is really confusing. At this rate, there won't be any songs to listen to." Some of the songs that have been banned so far by the MOGEF include B2ST's "On Rainy Days", Baek Ji Young's "I Can't Drink", 2PM's "Hands Up", Jang Hye Jin's "It's A Drink", and Kim Jo Han's "Alcohol Truth". All of these songs have been deemed inappropriate for minors by the Ministrydue to their "obscene" lyrical content which may encouragejuveniledelinquencyin teenagers. Source: Star News
