On July 25th, representatives of SM Entertainment revealed that Choi Si Won's grandmother had passed away on the 22nd.
Through Mydaily, SM Entertainment explained, "Choi Si Won's grandmother has passed away and the coffin was borne out on the morning of the 25th."
Choi Si Won has halted all of his schedules to mourn her death. On July 23rd, he had written on his Twitter, "My heart is ripping. But I must be stronger."
Singer Brian Joo also wrote, "I just came from Si Won's grandmother's funeral and am overcome with sorrow... Everyone, please pray for them."
