SNSD's "GENIE" certified 'Gold' by RIAJ

Via tokyohive:
With their second Japanese single "Gee" priming to take Japan by storm in less than a week, the girls of Shoujo Jidai (SNSD) are celebrating their latest success. Their debut Japanese single, "GENIE", has been certified 'Gold' by theRIAJ for shipping over 100,000 copies in the month of September. According to Oricon, the single has sold 88,735 copiesso far, and is #62 on the year-end charts, which is up there with the likes of Namie Amuro ("Break It/Get Myself Back" at #63) and Koda Kumi ("Gossip Candy" at #64)! The Oricon year still has a few weeks to go, so this isn't their final position - but fear not, SNSD fans! "GENIE" is still hanging on: it can be spotted on the charts at its latest daily position of #22 (as of October 13th). Source: RIAJ (Recording Industry Assocation of Japan) and Oricon
