JYP Entertainment's experimental music label INNIT Entertainment has launched its first official artist, dodree.
The female duo, composed of members Na Young Joo (24) and Lee Song Hyun (21), puts forth an innovative new genre to the Korean music scene, called K-rossover Pop. The music fuses a style of gukak vocalization known as "dodeuree" with pop elements.
The duo's debut title track, "Just Like A Dream", emotionally depicts longing felt toward a parted one, comparing their ghostly presence to a dream. dodree also present a b-side track reflecting on the team's identity, "Bon", cinematically blending gukak and Western sounds for a fantastic mood.
