A new virtual girl group named OWIS has been revealed.
Attention is high because they are produced by Lee Hae In, who is well-known as a former contestant and victim of the vote manipulation scandal in Mnet's 'Idol School', which unfairly cost her a spot in the debut lineup despite her high popularity. Now, she is returning to the industry in a new role as the producer of this virtual group.
The group surprised fans by dropping a debut trailer at the '40th Golden Disc Awards' in Taipei on January 10. The video featured a dreamy atmosphere with pixel graphics and mysterious silhouettes.
The name OWIS stands for "Only When I Sleep," meaning you can only meet them in dreams. They have opened official social media accounts and are preparing to debut in March with the title track "MUSEUM".
