Netflix Brazil will showcase a unique cross-cultural dating reality program in 2026, 'Meu Namorado Coreano (My Korean Boyfriend)'.
The show features 5 Brazilian women, each at different stages in their relationships with their romantic partners. Their one commonality is that each of their boyfriends are Korean men.
Created with the question, "Does love really happen like in the K-dramas in Korea?", the experimental reality program combines variety and documentary to tackle what cross-cultural relationships in Korea really look like. The 5 couples featured on the program will reveal issues ranging from language and cultural differences to family matters, disagreements, differing values and beliefs, etc.
The show also highlights these issues and struggles as they take place throughout beautiful sights and locations including Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon, Myeongdong, Hongdae, and more.

Part one will be released on Netflix on January 1, with part two airing a week later on January 8.
In response to the experimental program and its trailer, Korean netizens commented, "They're making all kinds of experimental shows these days because of the popularity of K-Pop and K-dramas", "I wonder if this show is really going to show the difference between the fantasy portrayed in the dramas and real life lol", "If they made this show to shatter the fantasies of global K-drama fans, I'm all for it haha", "I hope that global K-drama viewers will realize that those dramas are totally fantasy..", "I'm honestly more interested in Korean girls dating Brazilian men", etc.
