On the July 25 broadcast of Mnet's 'L1VE WIRE', singer Soyou appeared as a guest and invited Lee Changsub as her chosen collaboration artist.
On this day, Soyou performed her newly released single "PDA", while Lee Changsub took to the stage with "Vroom Vroom", the title track from his 1st single album of the same name.
Sitting down to chat with 'L1VE WIRE' hosts Jung Jae Hyung and Code Kunst, Soyou revealed the reason why she chose Lee Changsub as her chosen collaboration artist. She said, "We are 1991-line friends. Of course I knew he was a good singer, but I was actually really impressed when I heard him singing live on stage. I thought that it would be nice to work on an album some time."
Looking at each other, Soyou and Lee Changsub then put their hands out at the same time and said, "Write me a song," causing laughter. When Code Kunst remarked, "I hope that today's meeting will lead to a good album," Soyou and Lee Changsub put out their hands toward the producer next, saying, "Produce a song for us."
How did Soyou and Lee Changsub first become friends? Lee Changsub revealed, "We met at a large gathering. I'm very introverted and felt awkward at the time, and Soyou came to me and talked to me first." Soyou also recalled, "That was at SHINee Key's birthday party. Most of the people there were extroverts, and we were the only real introverts. I pitied him and went to him to make conversation, and we quickly became friends."
