On the July 11 broadcast of MBC's 'I Live Alone', SHINee's Minho shared a glimpse of his life as an athlete(?).
On this day, Minho revealed that he is currently training for the triathlon. He said, "The first time I did a triathlon, I trained for about 2 months and I did pretty well. There is another one coming up in November. My goal this time is to earn a medal."
The SHINee member then spent his entire day training. First thing in the morning, he went for a 6.5 hour workout on an empty stomach, including swimming laps at the pool and conquering a rigorous cycling course with his trainer. During this course, Minho encountered the famous "IU hill", a cycling course with 3-consecutive hardcore hills, much like IU's 3-step high notes in the hit song "Good Day".
After his first workout of the day, Minho returned home for a shower and lunch. Here, he introduced viewers to his very own "6-minute challenge", which consisted of him taking a shower in 6-minutes, or the time it takes to boil water and cook instant ramyun noodles on the stove. Watching Minho running to finish the 6-minute challenge, Kian84 remarked, "He turns everything into a sport."
Later on, Minho went for another workout session, this time lifting weights. He shared during his interview with the program, "I could never do all this if I weren't happy doing it. But I do it because I want to experience that sense of fulfillment you get when you finish a workout."
Finally, Minho concluded his day with a dinner full of carbs, ordering spicy tteokbokki and rice balls. The cast members of 'I Live Alone' observed, "He'll never gain weight even if he consumes all those carbs. In fact, he needs it. I think he needs more than that." Minho himself admitted, "When I eat carbs the night before, my workouts go better the next day."
