July 12 marked a special welcome for the fans of JBJ, as Roh Taehyun (formerly of both HOTSHOT and JBJ) released a new single titled "Dummy Dummy", with guest features of every JBJ member aside from Longguo.
JBJ debuted as a B group after Produce 101 Season 2, alongside Wanna One and RAINZ, on October 18, 2017. The group was conceptualized in June of that year, following numerous requests from fans. While the group was eventually able to debut, a conflict with Kim Taedong and his agency at the time prevented him from joining in on the fan-proposed lineup. The group would release the 'FANTASY' EP, which garnered many more views than anticipated. Following this success, they released their 'True Colors' EP featuring the lead single "My Flower" in 2018, which was even more successful. This would culminate in a final release of their album 'NEW MOON,' which would feature the lead single "Call Your Name," before they disbanded on April 30th, 2018, and returned to their respective agencies.
Now, seven years following their disbandment, five of the six members reunited for a collaborative single, titled "Dummy Dummy," which notably features a strong performance by Kim Sangkyun.
The song features a bouncy beat with gentle and straightforward soft synth melodies. Following Roh Taehyun's first verse. Kim Donghan is missing from the MV, which features the other four participants in the recording booth. The song is a welcome present to all the JBJ fans!
