Legendary mid laner Lee Sang Hyeok, better known as "Faker," has officially re-signed with T1 for another four years, extending his contract through the end of 2029. The announcement was made on July 27 during the team’s Homeground event at Inspire Arena in Incheon, shortly after T1 swept Nongshim RedForce 2-0 in their LCK Summer 2025 match.
After debuting in 2013, Faker remains the face of League of Legends esports. Often referred to as the GOAT, he boasts a staggering career record that includes five World Championship titles, two Mid-Season Invitational trophies, ten LCK titles, and a gold medal from the 2022 Asian Games.
The decision to stay with T1 comes as no surprise to fans, many of whom consider Faker synonymous with the organization. Having spent his entire career with T1 since debuting in 2013, his loyalty and longevity are nearly unmatched in the competitive gaming world.
As cheers echoed throughout the Inspire Arena following the announcement, Faker thanked fans for their unwavering support and hinted that he still has much more to show on the Rift. With this new contract, the legend’s journey continues, solidifying both his legacy and T1’s future.
