One of the most anticipated Netflix events of 2024 is just 3 more months away!
On September 20 KST, Netflix unveiled the very first special teaser for 'Squid Game: Season 2', starring Lee Jung Jae. The teaser begins with season 1's main protagonist, Sung Ki Hoon, waking up to the sound of a stranger at his door. Soon, Sung Ki Hoon receives an invitation to participate in a new game, as the scene transitions into the activities of the pink-clad guards carrying out their duties. Then, as the front man announces, "We are ready to start the game," Ki Hoon wakes up and finds himself wearing his competitor #456 jacket.
Notably, many Korean netizens took note of the set design of the new game, which begins in what resembles a typical sports field covered in sand at a Korean public school. Netizens suspected that the games in season 2 may borrow games typically held during student field days, raising anticipation.
'Squid Game: Season 2' premieres worldwide on Netflix on December 26.
