'The Glory' actor Jung Sung Il says he originally wanted to play one of the main villains, Jeon Jae Joon.

On April 15th, Jung Sung Il appeared on JTBC Newsroom for his interview. He introduced himself as someone who likes to make other people laugh and is more of a light-hearted person than a serious person. He came into the limelight after the success of the Netflix drama series 'The Glory.'

'The Glory' is a drama about a woman who dedicates her life to grand revenge on her bullies who tortured her during school. In 'The Glory,' Jung Sung Il portrays the character of Ha Do Young, the husband of Park Yeon Jin, the head perpetrator of the school violence. 

For his successive project, he returned to the theater. Regarding this decision, he said, "I love performing on stage so much. It rejuvenates and fuels me. Let's say I use up my acting skills and performances on TV. I get that energy and nutrient back on stage. There are so many better actors in the theater. I hope more people could come to see the theater performances." 

Regarding his future roles, Jung Sung Il said, "I want to take on a character who is more humorous and impulsive. In fact, I like characters like Jeon Jae Joon. When I first read the script of 'The Glory,' I wanted to play Jeon Jae Joon. I thought his raw character was interesting."
