On January 7, the '37th Golden Disc Awards' was held at Bangkok, Thailand's Rajamangala National Stadium, seeing participation of various K-pop artists.
In particular, Big Bang was awarded the "Best Digital Song" and were unfortunately not present to receive the award. However, instead of receiving the award through a VCR clip, TREASURE, their junior under the same company YG Entertainment, received the award in their stead. In the acceptance speech, TREASURE says, "We are very happy that Big Bang, a senior we respect very much, have received an award, and we are very happy to be able to receive the award in their stead too. [...] We will be passing this award over to (Big Bang), bringing it back to Korea." Check out the full acceptance speech above.

what unique about it exactly? Many artists received awards behalf other artists who didn't attend. Doesn't take away that Still Life was the #1 by boy groups in Korea this year, debut #1 in all chart, and helds all records of boy groups 2022 in MelOn, Genie, Spotify and Circle, all records of boy groups songs 2022 belong to Still Life. It's even on top 10 year end chart of them all. Queen. Deserves the win and more.
