Taecyeon's life is apparently ruined now that he's been chosen to serve the government as a royal secret inspector, in his upcoming new tvN series 'The Inspector and Joy'.

Premiering later this year in November, tvN's 'The Inspector and Joy' is a historical comedy-action genre starring 2PM's Taecyeon, Kim Hye Yoon, and more. The story begins when a young nobleman who is too lazy to consider advancing his career and status is suddenly selected as a royal secret inspector for the government. Taecyeon takes on the role of the male lead Lee Un, a government employee whose greatest interests in life include lunch breaks and leaving work as soon as the clock signals the end of the workday. 

In order to save his lazy self from the job he never wanted, Lee Un must team up with a fiery woman by the name of Jo Yi (Kim Hye Yoon), who has a knack for solving mysteries. In a society where divorce is all but impossible, Jo Yi is a woman who freed herself from the confines of marriage and is searching for a new path. 

The latest teaser for 'The Inspector and Joy' above hints at the tragic(?) beginning of Lee Un's story, on the day he receives the news that he has been selected as a royal secret inspector.
