K-pop is officially a global phenomenon and YouTube has been crucial in taking the genre worldwide.

In this episode of The Verge's 'The Future of Music' presented by Aloft Hotels, we speak to K-pop group MONSTA X, DJ/Producer Steve Aoki, and YouTube’s Head of culture and trends, Kevin Allocca, to find out how this global platform has helped spread this genre and create one of the strongest fan bases worldwide.
