The 15th of February Jackson (GOT7) joined live on Los Angeles based BigBoy radio station.
Here he talks about being influenced by Omarion, how he was scouted by JYPE and convincing his family to let him do music in Korea - thus giving up fencing, London Olympics 2012 and a scholarship to Stanford University. Then he goes on to explain his hard time as a trainee and insecurities back then and even now.
Regarding GOT7 he states that they recently felt their overseas popularity"for our first World Tour. Actually a lot of people are coming", "we really, really care about the fans" and "we are blessed and very happy that the KPOP culture is being spread out globally".
He himself started his solo career back in China and that "half of the time I will be in Korea with my homies, our team GOT7 and then the other six months I will be in China doing my solo stuff". "For my solo stuff it is like all about me. The type of music that I really enjoy and I like really want to challenge. You get Jackson Wang. And for like KPOP it more like a group thing. It's us. It's us. GOT7"
Lastly he introduced his upcoming plans for music and album "Journey To The West" in the later part of 2019.
