IZ*ONE's Choi Ye Na reveals she fought lymphatic cancer as a child

On November 15, IZ*ONE's debut reality series 'IZ*ONE Chu' aired its final episode, featuring the members' final steps toward becoming a tight-knit team.

On this broadcast, member Choi Ye Na decided to visit her family at home and prepared handmade kimbap for her parents. It turns out that back in February, Choi Ye Na told the reality show staff, "I want to send my parents on a honeymoon." She then confessed, "When I was young, I had an illness called lymphatic cancer. I was very sick, to the point where the hospital told my parents to give up. Due to our family's financial difficulties, my parents sold kimbap rols on the streets every morning."

When Choi Ye Na first unveiled her handmade gift to her family, the family's reaction turned out to be... mediocre. However, once Choi Ye Na shared why she decided to make kimbap for her parents for the first time in her life, her father cried out, "You remember that?" while her mother shed tears. Choi Ye Na's father also added, "I had no idea you remembered that, and I'm very touched. The fact that you grew up into such a bright and healthy child in itself is a great gift."

awww so sad. I love Yena and to think she went through this as a child is so sad to hear. It's a miracle she was able to grow up healothily and achieve her dreams.

She is a bully who loves to put people down. Nobody should have any sympathy for her. Ugly character!
