The controversial American streamer Johnny Somali (Ramsey Khalid Ismael) who was in a Japanese prison and is permanently banned from Japan is now stirring up trouble in South Korea.

On September 30, while on his way to Lotte World for a K-pop dance class, he created a disturbance on a Seoul subway train by playing loud, inappropriate noises during a live stream on Rumble. Passengers were visibly uncomfortable as he moved through the train shouting phrases like, "George Floyd - I can't breathe, I can't breathe." The police eventually intervened, escorting him off the train.

During his travels to Japan, Johnny Somali made anti-Japanese taunts, including references to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and threats of nuclear attacks while on a train. His actions led to confrontations, including being assaulted by locals and facing an American streamer who later apologized for his confrontation. Ismael also harassed other Twitch streamers, such as Meowku, contributing to his eventual ban. In June 2023, he played music with lyrics referencing atomic bombs at the Tokyo Disney Resort and filmed guests without their consent.

Later, in August 2023, the streamer trespassed on a construction site in Osaka and yelled "Fukushima" at workers, resulting in his arrest. He was later charged with disrupting business by playing loud noises in a restaurant and falsely blamed his phone for the disturbance. In December, he faced court for obstruction of business, admitted to lying about not profiting from his videos, and was fined ¥200,000. After being found guilty in January 2024, he voluntarily returned to the U.S. and in March shifted from IRL streaming to "Zoom trolling," targeting calls involving Japanese people.

Johnny Somali was also briefly banned from Jerusalem for similar antics, he now streams on Rumble after being banned from both Twitch and Kick. Notably, in March 2024, he threatened on a now-deleted X account to travel to Korea to slap a BTS member.
