The letter was introduced to an online community board under the title, 'Your children are all married now,' and features the story of a widow who learned how to write, dedicating the message to her late husband.

According to netizens, the 76-year old elderly woman decided to write the letter to her husband who left her side 20 years ago, after recently learning how to write in Hangul in language school.

The letter read, "To my loving husband, it has been 20 years already.  I thought my world was crashing down when I lost you in the accident. "

She continued, "Once our children were fast asleep, I would cry every night just thinking about you.  I couldn't help but think how I was going to raise these kids all on my own," and expressed her troubles.

Furthermore, "(Though it was hard) I managed to come all this way after working hard to feed the children."  She then added, "Dear, your children are all married now.  Just tell me once that I did well," in a cute expression.

In closing, the elderly woman wrote, "I miss you a lot today," causing readers to feel sorrow.

Netizens commented, "This is such a sad letter," "I miss my mom. I should give her a call on my way home," "You did well."
