This past June 14, a woman named Park Chung Hee informed media outlet Insight that her 8-year-old cousin named Park Han Eum passed away on June 12 due to the negligence of an assistant teacher.

According to Park, Han Eum, who suffered form congenital muscular dystrophy, had gotten on the bus to a special-ed school with the help of his mother this past April 6. Around ten minutes after Han Eum boarded the bus and settled into a seat, he lowered his face which had turned purple as he gasped for breath and slowly lost his consciousness. Park claimed that the assistant teacher who was sitting nearby was too occupied on her smart phone to notice that anything was wrong with Han Eum or that he had cried out for help.

When Insight studied the surveillance footage Park submitted, they found that the assistant teacher only adjusted Han Eum's posture once during the ride to school. Further, the footage showed that the person sitting next to the assistant teacher looked over at her multiple times when Han Eum had cried out. However, the assistant teacher was too busy preening herself or talking on the phone.

It was only when the bus arrived at school that the teacher in charge of Han Eum's class realized something was wrong with him, and he was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital, but Han Eum had already fallen into a coma, and he took his last breath on June 12.

Park told Insight in a phone call, "The incident occurred three days after the assistant teacher began work. She had come to the funeral, and I was stunned to see that she wore a green flower-print skirt. I hope that Han Eum isn't hurting in heaven."

she deserves to be punished in some sort of way for this somehow. how can a teacher neglect her student like that? isnt she aware of his illness and wouldve taken it more seriously? someone's health isnt something u should ignore. and the fact that she came in that green flower-printed skirt shows her lack of respect. what an adult.

OMG!! This girl just need to stop working as an assistant if she doesn't care her patient!! That's so wrong!! She indirectly "murdered" the kid :s

Kleo Friday, June 17, 2016

I bet she won't receive any punishment

pink_oracle Friday, June 17, 2016

Dear god, she was sitting right there and just let a child suffocate to death. She should be banned from working with children for life!

beyondordinary Friday, June 17, 2016

This bitch. I would've told her to leave even if she came to pay her respects. It's pretty much her fault that such a misfortune occurred in the first place. I hope this is a wake up call to all teachers/assistants,etc to not be so irresponsible. Even if we live in an era of new technology and sometimes you can't help but be distracted, don't neglect your job. She was aware of his disability and yet she didn't even bother to check up on him MORE than once, like are you for fucking real?

cococcchanel Friday, June 17, 2016

Fuck her, such disrespect and stupid! And the person who looked over at the teacher - why didn't he/she say anything? Since he/she noticed that something was wrong! Seriously, why? He/she might've been able to save or help the poor little guy!

crookedshanks cococcchanel Friday, June 17, 2016

Maybe they were unable to communicate because they had some sort of disability as well.

cococcchanel crookedshanks Friday, June 17, 2016

Yes, that's a possibility I didn't think of! I thought that he/she was another teacher or common folk who took the same bus

Kaisoo_Shipper Friday, June 17, 2016

Honestly the thing that made me mad is, on top of the fact that she didn't watch the child, she was disrespectful enough to wear a green flower-print skirt to his funeral?! Like, sure, not watching the kids was a common mistake. I'm not saying it was right, but it's not uncommon, unfortunately. But the nerve of her, wearing a coloured skirt to his funeral..
