Yuqi, a member of the global group I-DLE, has solidified her status as a powerhouse in the Greater China region after being named one of the 'Tencent Music Chart 2026 Women of the Year in Music'. Selected under the evocative theme “Where she is, there is light,” she was recognized as a leading female artist who achieved exceptional milestones across Tencent Music platforms throughout 2025. In their evaluation, Tencent Music highlighted "vitality" as her defining trait, praising her multifaceted talent as a singer-songwriter who composed and wrote every track on her first solo single, 'Motivation'. The platform specifically noted that her title track, 'M.O.', achieved massive success in both South Korea and China.
The impact of her solo career is further supported by staggering data. Yuqi recorded 147 entries into the Tencent Music Korean chart, reaching the Top 20 on 122 occasions. Her dominance throughout 2025 earned her several prestigious titles, including Artist of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for 'FREAK', and EP/Single of the Year for 'Motivation'. Both 'Radio (Dum-Dum)' and 'FREAK' received Gold certifications from Tencent Music. Notably, 'Radio (Dum-Dum)' has maintained a position in the Top 10 for 50 consecutive weeks since its release last March, continuing to break longevity records. While Yuqi thrives as a soloist, her group I-DLE—consisting of Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua—recently achieved a historic milestone of their own. On March 7, the group successfully held their '2026 I-DLE World Tour [Syncopation] in Taipei' at the Taipei Dome. This performance made I-DLE the first K-pop girl group in history to grace the Taipei Dome stage. The event saw an explosive response from local fans, with every seat selling out immediately after tickets went on sale. The group is set to carry this momentum forward as they continue their extensive world tour across global markets.
