With just one day to go until its premiere, the Netflix original series ‘Boyfriend On Demand’ is set to captivate viewers with its fresh premise that blurs the line between reality and the virtual world, along with an eye-catching, all-star cast. The 10-episode series will be released in full on March 6.

‘Boyfriend On Demand’ follows webtoon producer Seo Mi Rae, who is worn out by the demands of real life. Through a virtual dating simulation subscription service, she embarks on a journey to experience romance in a safe, digital space. The romantic comedy explores wish-fulfillment fantasies as Mi Rae discovers growth and self-realization along the way.

The casting lineup has generated particular buzz. Leading the series are Jisoo and Seo In Guk, with special appearances from Seo Kang Jun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Ong Seong Wu, Lee Jae Wook, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Young Dae, Jay Park, and Lee Sang Yi, all portraying Mi Rae’s virtual love interests.

The ensemble is further strengthened by Gong Min Jung, Ha Young, Jo Han Chul, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Ah Young, Go Gyu Pil, and Yoo In Na, adding depth and vibrancy to the drama.

Jisoo takes on the role of Seo Mi Rae, a dedicated professional who has buried herself in work after a failed relationship. A self-proclaimed “real life devotee,” Mi Rae gradually evolves as she gains new insight through her virtual experiences.

Seo In Guk plays Park Kyung Nam, an enigmatic colleague and rival at Mi Rae’s company. Known for always delivering top results, Kyung Nam appears cold and robotic on the surface, but harbors a thoughtful and considerate side. Though awkward at expressing his emotions, he begins to change after meeting Mi Rae.

The main trailer teased a series of heart-fluttering encounters between Mi Rae and her virtual partners, each offering a distinct charm. Still cuts reveal Seo Kang Jun as Eun Ho, meeting Mi Rae on a cherry blossom-lined campus in a scene reminiscent of a youthful romance. Lee Soo Hyuk transforms into Si Woo, a third-generation chaebol who sweeps Mi Rae off her feet with dazzling, luxurious dates - his cool exterior contrasted by an intense gaze.

Other fantasy suitors include a mysterious secret agent (Ong Seong Wu), a charismatic senior doctor (Lee Jae Wook), a warm-hearted judge (Lee Hyun Wook), and a top star (Park Jae Bum), each promising swoon-worthy moments.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung Cheol appears as Mi Rae’s ex-boyfriend Se Joon, adding another layer of intrigue. His presence hints at a real-world romance that may unfold in a direction entirely different from her virtual escapades.

Online, anticipation is running high. Viewers have flooded social media with enthusiastic reactions, writing comments such as, “Do I even deserve this lineup?” “The casting is insane,” “Netflix spends the money, and I just enjoy it,” and “It feels like reading a pure romance comic.”

Now fully ready for launch, ‘Boyfriend On Demand’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix on March 6. With its inventive concept and dazzling cast, all eyes are on whether the series can truly win over viewers’ hearts.
