A portion of NewJeans’ fandom has carried out a truck protest criticizing HYBE and ADOR.
On March 3rd KST, members of NewJeans’ fandom, Bunnies, held a truck demonstration in front of HYBE’s headquarters, demanding that HYBE and ADOR halt what they described as a prolonged and unproductive dispute and guarantee full group activities for all five members — Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein.
In a statement, the fans referenced a recent decision by the Seoul Central District Court, which reportedly ruled that there were no valid grounds for contract termination in a case filed by former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, now head of ooak Records. They argued that “HYBE escalated the conflict based on the false claim of a management rights takeover.”
The group also called on HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk to acknowledge responsibility for the situation and bring the dispute to an end. Additionally, they urged ADOR CEO Lee Do Kyung to withdraw the lawsuit involving Danielle’s family, fulfill the company’s duty to protect its artists, and take substantive legal action regarding media reports and the alleged leak of overseas CCTV footage.
Furthermore, they demanded that Belift Lab CEO Kim Tae Ho issue an apology over allegations that ILLIT plagiarized NewJeans and remove an explanatory video that they claim undermined NewJeans’ unique identity.
The fans concluded by stating that if their demands are not accepted, they will mobilize “all possible means and methods” to engage in stronger collective action.
