Group Wanna One has officially signaled a comeback, releasing handwritten messages to their fans. On February 1, Mnet Plus unveiled the letters, confirming the group's reunion 7 years after their official activities ended.
Leader Yoon Ji Sung expressed his excitement, writing, "Our Wannable (fandom name), it has been so long that I need to calm down a bit. Scream if you are ready to enjoy this with Wanna One! I trust you will welcome us as much as you missed us. Let's meet again". Lee Dae Hwi shared his overwhelming emotions, asking, "Do you remember the promise that when you gather, Wanna One will gather too? We are late, but we came to keep it. Since the spring breeze has passed, I hope we meet soon".
Kim Jae Hwan promised a better version of the group, stating, "As much as you have waited for a long time, we will visit you with a more mature and cool image. The time when our members and Wannable become one, the moment we meet again beyond the 7 years—I will love without regrets now". Ha Sung Woon confessed his happiness, writing, "Is this a dream right now? Even if it is a dream, it is good. Can I shout 'Wannable' again? I miss you so much. I am so excited at the thought of meeting again".
Park Woo Jin, Bae Jin Young, and Ong Seong Wu declared the countdown, saying, "It is time to take out the memories kept in each other's hearts," while Hwang Min Hyun shared his gratitude: "Thank you for staying in the same place. I will repay you as much as you waited. Hope we meet again".
Kang Daniel, the winner of Produce 101 Season 2 who is set to enlist in the military on February 9, wrote, "I am happy to visit you with good news after a long time. It is exciting to call the name Wannable again. Please look for the 'me' hiding in Wanna One Go".
Park Ji Hoon, currently active as an actor, sent a witty greeting using his famous catchphrase: "Thank you for waiting without end. Wannable, once again 'save' in my heart. I love you." Lai Kuan Lin, who announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in 2024, added a special touch with his message from afar: "Do you all remember me? Thank you so much for supporting us. I am doing well right now. Please give lots of love to my older brothers. I hope Wannable will be happy too. I will be happy as well".
Wanna One, a project group formed through Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, officially concluded activities in 2019. They are set to reunite through the reality program Wanna One Go, scheduled to air in the first half of this year.
