Broadcaster Shin Dong Yup’s daughter, Ji Hyo, has been accepted to Seoul National University, drawing attention for both her achievements and her visuals.
Recently, a ballet academy shared the news on Instagram, writing, “Accepted to Seoul National University for the 2026 academic year. Our proud graduate Shin Ji Hyo (Sunhwa Arts High School, Grade 3) has delivered the joyful news of her acceptance to the Department of Physical Education at Seoul National University’s College of Education. We are so proud of Ji Hyo, who has achieved the goals she has dreamed of one by one. We will continue to support her wholeheartedly by her side.”
Ji Hyo majored in ballet and attended Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School. She has also drawn attention for her appearance, said to resemble both her father, Shin Dong Yup, and her mother, Sun Hye Yoon, an MBC producer.
Last September, she was also accepted into the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts. At the time, the ballet academy congratulated her, saying, “From the five year old beginner class to preparing for college entrance exams, she has grown alongside her ballet teachers all this time. She is a student we are truly proud of.”
Shin Dong Yup previously became emotional upon hearing news of Ji Hyo’s university acceptance during a recording for a YouTube channel in October. Shin Dong Yup married producer Sun Hye Yoon in 2006. They welcomed Ji Hyo the following year and later had a son, Gyu Wan, in 2010.
