On February 5 (local time), ENHYPEN’s SUNGHOON participated as a torchbearer in the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Torch Relay, proudly carrying the Olympic flame through the streets of Milan.
The moment marked a meaningful milestone for SUNGHOON, who began his career as a competitive figure skater and trained as part of South Korea’s national reserve team before debuting as a K-Pop artist. Now recognized worldwide as both a global artist and cultural ambassador, he steps onto the Olympic stage in a new role—symbolizing the powerful connection between sports, music, and global youth culture.
SUNGHOON reflected, “It’s incredibly emotional to be part of the Olympics, which has long been a dream of mine, now as a singer.”
He continued, “As a former athlete, I know the passion and dedication that go into preparing for this stage. Being able to support the athletes and take part in this journey is a true honor, and I’m grateful for all the energy and love from fans around the world.”
The relay route near Milan’s Bolivar Station drew large crowds of international fans and local spectators alike. As he carried the torch, SUNGHOON was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers, embodying the Olympic values of peace, friendship, and solidarity. His participation highlighted the growing intersection of culture and international sporting events, demonstrating how K-Pop continues to inspire audiences far beyond the music stage.

Beyond SUNGHOON’s individual participation, ENHYPEN are also contributing to the Olympic movement through music. The group’s track “SHOUT OUT,” from their third mini-album ‘MANIFESTO : DAY 1,’ has been selected as Team Korea’s official cheer song for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing additional energy and excitement to the Games.
