Popular YouTuber CharlesEnter has apologized over suspicions that she targeted a cast member from Netflix’s 'Single’s Inferno 5.'

Earlier on February 14 KST, CharlesEnter drew attention after posting remarks about a cast member from Netflix’s 'Single’s Inferno 5' and then quickly deleting them. In the post, she uploaded a broadcast screenshot from 'Single’s Inferno Reunion' and wrote, "'Single’s Inferno' behind story episode 1 came out, but I turned it off because it felt too uncomfortable," expressing her discontent.

She continued, "It has been over half a year since filming, and they all appeared on the show for everyone’s benefit, yet someone kept clearly showing they were in a bad mood, while others kept reading the room and apologizing. I don’t know what they were doing. Watching it made me feel uncomfortable too," sharing her thoughts.

Although CharlesEnter did not directly mention any specific cast member in the post, many netizens speculated that the remarks were aimed at Kim Min Ji, sparking heated debate. In the comments, CharlesEnter also clarified, "It’s not Hee Sun or Soo Bin."

In the comments section, many criticized her, saying, "Isn’t this openly targeting someone as a public figure?" and "She’s getting overly immersed," while others defended her with remarks such as "Isn’t it just a personal opinion?" and "She deleted it, so that’s enough."

A day later, she posted an apology on her social media account.

"Earlier this evening, I uploaded and then deleted a story related to the 'Single’s Inferno' reunion. I posted it after watching only up to the middle of episode 1, but someone commented that I should watch it until the end. So I finished the episode and saw that the awkward atmosphere eased and it ended on a warmer note. I felt I had posted too hastily, so I deleted it right away," she wrote.

CharlesEnter continued, "But I later found out that news articles were published and that many people felt uncomfortable. I did not intend to target any specific person. I posted it because the overall mood of the program felt awkward and uncomfortable to me. However, if it came across as targeting a specific individual, then that is clearly my fault."

She also added, "I have always used Instagram as a personal space where I communicate closely with friends, so I don’t think I was fully aware of my influence. If I caused discomfort, I sincerely apologize. I will be more careful."

Meanwhile, CharlesEnter is a popular YouTuber with 1.03 million subscribers. She gained popularity through reaction content about famous dating programs and her 'Monthly Date' content.

Reactions
to her apology include:

"Charles should really stop mocking contestants. It feels risky the way she always sets the stage for people to criticize them."

"Someone could end up receiving hate they do not deserve because of those words, so it is better to be careful."

"What should I say about this person..? Her over immersion makes the reviews entertaining and that is why people respond well, but it seems like that can be a double edged sword at times."

"It is just a personal review, so stop trying to discipline her."

"So does that mean she has to watch people’s reactions and only post positive reviews?"

"She is getting less hate just because she is Charles."

"Once you gain recognition and influence, your words do carry more weight lol. She apologized, so she just needs to be more careful from now on."

"I also felt uncomfortable the whole time watching episode 1... ㅜ"

"Charles just got unlucky."

"Wow, this person has intense fans too lol."

"If you realize that someone ended up getting targeted because of you, that should be enough. Just be more careful next time."

"But I do not think Instagram accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers are personal accounts anymore, so it is not right to think of it as a private space. Once you start getting ads and news articles written about you, it is no longer just personal. Celebrities get criticized for Instagram mistakes not only because they are celebrities, but because people no longer see those accounts as private. Even just liking a post can cause a stir. Anyway, since an apology has been posted, it is strange to keep criticizing, so people should stop."

"I felt the same way when she talked about Ji Yeon on EXchange 4. I thought her thinking seemed immature and emotional."

"I do not know who this person is, but if she is someone well known, then she should be more careful with reviews like that. Imagine if an idol had done that."

"Wow, there are a lot of people defending her. She did not even watch the whole episode before posting the review, and considering she is also a public figure with influence, that post was careless. She calls herself a reviewer, but at least watch a full episode before reviewing. That was just a random post made out of frustration halfway through lol. Comparing this to regular people’s malicious comments just to defend her is even stranger."

"Seeing her reattach the exact Instagram story she posted and apologize makes it feel sincere, and she explained the full context, so if people keep criticizing, it is probably just because they dislike Charles."

"I felt uncomfortable watching it too, so are people saying she cannot even say that much lol?"

"Can she not even post her personal opinion on her personal social media?"

"She survived this because her image is good."
