Jennie of BLACKPINK has reportedly purchased a building in Yongsan gu, Seoul.
According to a report on February 11 KST, Jennie bought a building located in Dongbinggo dong, Yongsan gu, Seoul, for 20 billion KRW(~13.7 million USD) in May of last year and completed the ownership transfer in December of the same year. As no separate mortgage has been registered on the property’s official record, the purchase is presumed to have been made entirely in cash.
The building is situated in the northern part of Dongbinggo dong, an area known for its concentration of embassy residences. It is currently being used as the Iraqi Embassy in Korea, and the price per pyeong is reported to be around 111 million KRW.
The area is also said to be set for full scale development in connection with the nearby Hannam New Town redevelopment project and the development of Yongsan Park.
Previously, in 2023, Jennie also purchased a luxury villa in UN Village for 5 billion KRW, reportedly paid in full with cash.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to make a comeback on February 27 with their third mini album ‘DEADLINE’. The album will include a total of five tracks, including the title song ‘GO’ and pre release tracks ‘JUMP,’ ‘Me and my,’ ‘Champion,’ and ‘Fxxxboy.’
