Yoon Si Yoon celebrated his mother’s middle school graduation after 44 years.
On the January 25 episode of 'My Little Old Boy,' Yoon Si Yoon was shown celebrating his mother’s middle school graduation. He especially drew attention by personally taking graduation photos for his mother and her classmates.
The classmates revealed that they only found out Yoon Si Yoon was her son after the broadcast aired. In response, Yoon Si Yoon’s mother said, "Because my son is a celebrity, I was worried and didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to show that I hadn’t even graduated middle school. I was worried about how people might look at my son because of me, so I kept it hidden."
After hearing this, her classmates praised Yoon Si Yoon, telling the audience, "He grew up so well it makes us want to cry. The fact that he understood everything and encouraged her to go back to school shows what a good son he is."
In addition to the handmade graduation album he prepared for his mother and her friends, Yoon Si Yoon also planned a special meal. For his mother, who wanted to eat jjajangmyeon after the graduation ceremony as is common on special occasions in Korea, he personally made old-style jjajangmyeon.
After tasting the food prepared by her son, Yoon Si Yoon’s mother exclaimed, "The wok flavor is perfect."
In the past, due to difficult family circumstances, Yoon Si Yoon’s mother had to give up on graduating from middle school just two to three months before completion. She also gave birth to Yoon Si Yoon at a young age and had to completely stop her education. However, driven by her desire to learn, she later decided to resume and complete her middle school studies.
She shared, "When my friends were graduating but I couldn’t, it really weighed on my heart. It was too painful to face at the time, so I came to Seoul."
She also said, "Now I have no regrets at all. I think going back to school was the right decision." She added, "I want to go to my father and show him my diploma. He always carried the pain of me having to stop school like a burden in his heart," mentioning that her father spoke about her schooling even near the end of his life.
In response, Yoon Si Yoon honestly said, "You just had a really long vacation before going back to school. That’s why I’m proud of you." His mother then said, "I always say I’m sorry that I’m your mom. I was most afraid that I might affect your future in even the smallest negative way. That fear mattered more than anything else."
After hearing this, Yoon Si Yoon shared his heartfelt feelings, saying, "My mom is a great life senior. She passed on courage and perseverance to me. She gave me something incredibly valuable," adding, "Thank you for being my mom."
Meanwhile, the graduation album that Yoon Si Yoon prepared was an AI-generated album created based on photos from her third year of middle school. In the album, his mother’s younger self sent a message to her present-day self, saying, "Thank you for becoming a wonderful adult and a wonderful mother. I’m proud of you." Touched by the message, Yoon Si Yoon’s mother shed tears of emotion.
In the studio, Yoon Si Yoon’s carefully prepared event even brought MC Seo Jang Hoon to tears.
