Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang has made a generous donation of 50 million won (approximately USD 37,000) after being moved by a heartfelt comment from a 13-year-old subscriber.

On January 26, Tzuyang uploaded a video titled 5 million won donated per burger?! How many did I eat? I rushed over after reading the comment on her official YouTube channel. The video documents her participation in a charity burger campaign inspired by a young fan’s message.

The story began when a subscriber identifying themselves as a 13-year-old child left a comment explaining that they had endured repeated surgeries by watching Tzuyang’s videos. The child requested a mukbang featuring the “Lucky Burger,” a product tied to a donation campaign in which 100 won is donated per burger sold.

The comment also expressed hope that other children suffering from similar illnesses would recover quickly. The comment quickly spread online, drawing widespread attention and messages of support.

In response, Tzuyang filmed a mukbang featuring 10 Lucky Burgers—seven eaten by herself and three by her staff. She then announced an additional personal donation, saying, “I was grateful that the child watches my videos, and even more thankful for letting me know about this donation campaign. I recently reached 13 million subscribers, and I wanted to do something meaningful.

She went on to pledge a donation of 5 million won per burger, totaling 50 million won. Addressing the young subscriber directly, Tzuyang added, “I know the surgeries must be very difficult, but I hope you get to enjoy lots of delicious food, and maybe one day we can eat together.”

The full donation was made in the subscriber’s name to the Hope Sharing Fund of Asan Medical Center Children’s Hospital in Seoul. The fund supports pediatric patient treatment and research, medical and facility improvements, and the operation of hospital schools for children whose education has been interrupted by long-term treatment. The hospital also confirmed that the use of the donation will be transparently disclosed through reports.

The young subscriber later returned to the comments section, writing, “Thank you. I’m watching this while staying in the hospital.”

What began as a single sincere comment has since resonated with many viewers, who have shared messages such as “I hope all sick children recover soon” and “Having money doesn’t automatically mean having this kind of heart,” praising the gesture for its warmth and impact.
