Son Dam Bi details the efforts to postpartum weight loss, losing 17kg (37.4 lbs)

Son Dam Bi has candidly shared how her body has changed since giving birth, along with her disciplined approach to postpartum fitness and figure management.

In a video that drew significant attention from fans, Son Dam Bi detailed the efforts and workout routines she follows to maintain toned lines even after childbirth. On January 23, she uploaded a video titled “Son Dam Bi’s Health-Obsessed Management Routine | New Year Health Reset | Abs Care | Squash | Home Workout” to her YouTube channel, DambiXon.

In the video, Son Dam Bi directly addressed various questions from viewers, opening up about changes in her physique after giving birth, her abdominal recovery process, and her current exercise habits.

She shared, “Recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of comments asking, ‘Do you really have abs now?’ and ‘How do you manage your body after giving birth?’,” noting the growing interest in her postpartum fitness journey.


She went on to reveal that she delivered her child via C-section, adding, “Those who’ve had a C-section will know that recovering the rectus abdominis muscles isn’t easy. It takes a long time and requires a lot of effort.”

Son Dam Bi was also honest about where she currently stands, saying, “My abs aren’t perfect yet. The lines are just starting to show little by little.” 

She didn’t shy away from discussing changes in her stamina as well. “I definitely feel that my physical strength dropped significantly after giving birth. If I neglect caring for my wrists or ankles, they start hurting quickly,” she said, adding that her post-workout recovery is noticeably slower than before.


Sharing workout tips, Son Dam Bi explained, “In cold weather, it’s effective to sweat it out first with squash, then move on to abdominal exercises. I do squash as fasted cardio.

After returning home, she continued her ab workout in earnest on a yoga mat. “You need to combine cardio with ab exercises to create definition,” she said. “After childbirth, women’s abdominal fat tends to shrink while losing elasticity. If you leave it unattended, recovery becomes even harder.”

Emphasizing her fitness philosophy, she added, “You need to do cardio and core workouts together to shape proper lines.”

Meanwhile, Son Dam Bi married former national speed skating team member Lee Kyu Hyuk in 2022 and welcomed a daughter last year.
