Disney+ is raising anticipation with an unusually daring concept. The mystery thriller 'Bloody Flower,' which has drawn attention even before its release for its shocking premise of “committing murder to save lives,” has officially kicked off its promotional campaign by unveiling its main poster and trailer simultaneously.

'Bloody Flower' centers on a serial killer who claims to possess the ability to cure all incurable diseases. With the release of the main poster and trailer, anticipation for the drama has surged even further.

The main trailer opens with the chilling line, “Murder to save the world.” It quickly reveals the grim cost behind the seemingly miraculous power to cure incurable illnesses: someone else must die in exchange for each treatment. As this truth comes to light, the story plunges into intense suspense. Lee Woo Gyeom’s line, “I’ll show you how I save lives without even using a scalpel,” raises doubts about whether his abilities are real, heightening curiosity about the unfolding narrative.

The drama weaves together the intersecting paths of a prosecutor chasing a serial killer, a lawyer who must protect him, and a mysterious figure at the center of the controversy, portraying how their choices collide. With compelling performances by Ryeoun, Sung Dong Il, and Keum Sae Rok, and a storyline that confronts moral dilemmas head-on, 'Bloody Flower' aims to transcend the boundaries of a conventional genre thriller.

The newly released main poster features the three central characters arranged in a triangular composition, each looking in a different direction. Sung Dong Il plays Park Han Joon, the lawyer defending the killer; Geum Sae Rok stars as prosecutor Cha Yi Yeon, who is determined to see him punished; and Ryeoun portrays Lee Woo Gyeom, the serial killer at the heart of every case.

Adding to the intrigue is another image of Lee Woo Gyeom dressed in surgical scrubs and wearing a mask amid a wash of red tones, hinting at his dual identity. The cracked, fractured visuals running throughout the poster symbolically represent the conflicts and clashing values between the characters.

'Bloody Flower' is based on author Lee Dong Geon’s novel 'The Flower of Death.' The drama is built around the tension between opposing values such as murder and salvation, justice and life itself.

At the center of the story is Lee Woo Gyeom, played by Ryeoun. Though he dropped out of medical school, he is portrayed as a character with exceptional medical skills who claims to have perfected a technique capable of curing all incurable diseases. His condition for revealing this technique is that he not be held legally accountable for his murders.

The conflict surrounding Lee Woo Gyeom expands through his confrontations with two key figures. Park Han Joon, the lawyer played by Sung Dong Il, is not an ordinary attorney but a father desperate to save his terminally ill daughter, forcing him to protect Lee Woo Gyeom at all costs. In contrast, prosecutor Cha Yi Yeon, portrayed by Geum Sae Rok, represents legal justice and seeks to sentence Lee Woo Gyeom to death.

Rather than functioning as a straightforward crime investigation drama, the series places moral judgment, the law, and bioethics at its core. It raises fundamental questions about what choices humans should make to save lives and how far law and justice should extend.

Produced by EO Contents Group and Content G, 'Bloody Flower' was primarily filmed in 2025. Disney+ has introduced the series as one of the key titles in its 2026 lineup, signaling high expectations for the expansion of Korean-style thrillers.

With its focus on ethical dilemmas and human choice, 'Bloody Flower' is expected to draw significant attention from both domestic and international viewers following its release.

The drama 'Bloody Flower' will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on February 4.'
