YG Entertainment is launching a new search for its next global star group under the leadership of executive producer Yang Hyun Suk.
On January 21, YG announced that it will hold the '2026 YG Special Audition: GO! DEBUT' from January 21 through February 28. The upcoming audition is drawing attention as Yang Hyun Suk will personally participate throughout the entire evaluation process, directly overseeing the selection of new talent.
The audition is open to applicants of all genders and nationalities born between 2007 and 2015. Participants may apply in one chosen category such as vocals, rap, dance, visuals, or talent by submitting a video of up to one minute showcasing their strengths.
YG explained that the subtitle 'GO! DEBUT' reflects the company’s intention to go beyond simply recruiting trainees and instead focus on discovering talent that is immediately ready for debut and capable of competing on a global stage.
As the company behind iconic acts such as Big Bang, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, and BABYMONSTER, YG Entertainment is once again raising expectations over what kind of new stars it will uncover through this project.
