On January 17, Red Velvet’s Wendy took over the stage in the Philippines, marking the artist’s first-ever solo concert in the country. The Manila show served as the grand finale of Wendy’s ‘W:EALIVE’ solo tour.
Decked out in a bright red dress, Wendy opened the set with “Fireproof,” “Hate²,” and “Queen Of The Party,” kickstarting the night with her fiery vocals and setting a high energy that lasted throughout the concert.
Following the opening songs, Wendy shared how happy she was to spend the final day of her tour with her Manila fans. She also explained the meaning behind the tour name, ‘W:EALIVE,’ noting it is a combination of her name and the word “alive.” She described it as wanting to exist through music—a feeling she experiences most when on stage. “To be alive through music... I’m already feeling alive because of your energy,” she told the crowd.

The setlist included “Why Can’t You Love Me?,” “Best Ever,” “Chapter You,” “His Car Isn’t Yours,” “Better Judgement,” and “Vermillion,” all delivered with crystal-clear live vocals that echoed throughout the venue.
Wendy frequently mentioned how much she loved her own tracks, even jokingly asking the audience how many times she had called a song her “favorite” throughout the show.

“Every time I’m here, your energy and passion are really amazing. I’m the one who’s supposed to give you energy and passion, but you’re the ones who give it to me,” she said.
Wendy continued the show, now dressed in blue, to sing the emotional tracks “Like Water,” “When This Rain Stops,” and “Believe,” flawlessly hitting every note from start to finish.

The singer also surprised fans with performances of her K-drama original soundtracks (OSTs), such as “Goodbye,” “If I Could Read Your Mind,” and “Airport Goodbyes.” Her final set of songs included “Light Me Up,” “Wish You Hell,” “Sunkiss,” “Best Friend (with Seulgi),” and “Existential Crisis.”
As the show neared its end, Wendy expressed her deep gratitude to the fans who had waited for and supported her throughout her journey.
“This concert is more than just a place to sing. I hope today’s concert will stay in your hearts for a long time and become a small comfort on difficult days. I’ll always be by your side through my songs and my voice,” Wendy shared via the show’s VCR.
As we step into the new year, Wendy reflected on how people evaluate their past and future goals, adding: “I was thinking, ‘I’ve done a lot.’ But this is just the beginning. I want to show more of the Wendy stuff. I want to show you more Red Velvet stuff this year. I want to do more concerts, more stages, and more performances.”

“I can do more. I’m very thirsty for it. I’m pretty sure that this is just the beginning. Thank you for always being there for me throughout the journey, no matter what. Because of you, I can do these things as a singer.”
Wendy also prepared a heartfelt letter for her fans: “My dearest Manila ReVeluvs and fans. Today, as I stand here for the final time on this world tour, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This journey that began in Korea on September 20 finds its most beautiful ending here with all of you. When I first stepped on stage with Red Velvet, I discovered what true happiness felt like.”

“These past four months have been that, and they will forever remain the most luminous chapter of my life. They say that as a singer, my purpose is to touch hearts and bring joy through music, but the truth is you have been the ones filling my heart. You have given me more love, strength, and light than I ever imagined possible.”
She added, “I know I still have so much to learn and so much room to grow, but I promise you this: I will carry the love you’ve given me like a torch, letting it guide me forward. In 2026, I will return to you more often, closer and better, because this isn’t goodbye. This is just the beginning of our next chapter together. Until that day comes, please take care of yourselves, stay healthy, stay happy, and know that you are all loved beyond measure.”
