Rapper Jvcki Wai, who previously claimed she was subjected to dating violence by her former partner and producer Vangdale, has reversed her stance and withdrawn plans for legal action roughly a month later.
On January 7, Jvcki Wai posted a statement on social media, saying, “I apologize to anyone who felt discomfort because of this matter,” and added that she had decided not to pursue legal measures.
She asked the public to refrain from exaggerating her account, drawing a clear line by stating, “Claims involving threats with a weapon or ongoing stalking are not true.” She also urged people to avoid excessive criticism or speculation directed at the other party.
“As this was a personal matter, I would like to resolve it and move on quietly,” she concluded, thanking readers for their understanding. Although her agency AOMG had previously stated that the issue would be handled through legal procedures, Jvcki Wai herself directly announced the withdrawal of legal action.
Previously, on December 12 last year, Jvcki Wai posted on her social media account that she had been unable to leave her home for two weeks, sharing multiple photos showing bruises and injuries on her arms and legs. At the time, she claimed that her former partner had caused a disturbance by banging on her door and attempting to enter her home, and alleged that she had been prevented from leaving his residence on the day of the assault.

Explaining why she released the photos, Jvcki Wai said it was “the only way” to completely end the relationship, adding that contact ceased after the posts went up and apologizing if they caused discomfort. She also alleged that the other party confined her indoors, smashed a computer monitor, threatened her with a kitchen knife, and choked her.
The individual named as the alleged assailant was later identified as hip-hop producer Vangdale. Although Jvcki Wai did not initially name him, Vangdale posted a rebuttal on social media, which led to his identification. He claimed the incident involved mutual violence, writing that he was the one who had been beaten and verbally abused, accusing Jvcki Wai of portraying him as the sole aggressor.
Jvcki Wai responded by acknowledging that she had slapped him after being repeatedly hit, but countered his claims by alleging that he attempted to grab a kitchen knife, seized her phone when she tried to call for help, and later slapped, knocked her down, and choked her to the point she could not breathe.
As the controversy grew, AOMG released an official statement on December 15, saying, “Jvcki Wai has shared with the company details of violence that occurred during a romantic relationship, and the matter is currently under review in accordance with legal procedures.” The agency added that it was providing support, including legal counsel, while prioritizing the artist’s physical and mental safety and recovery.
Jvcki Wai and Vangdale were in a romantic relationship, and Vangdale produced all tracks on Jvcki Wai’s full-length album 'Mollak,' released last July. Jvcki Wai made her official debut in 2016 with her first EP 'Exposure' and is currently signed to AOMG. Vangdale is a producer under KC Label, founded by rapper Sik K.
No details have been disclosed regarding any agreement or the specific circumstances behind Jvcki Wai’s sudden retraction of claims.
