Singer-actor Rain has named the keys to his success and longevity in the entertainment industry.
On January 1, a new video titled “This is the first lesson, the etiquette to follow in the entertainment industry” was released on Rain’s YouTube channel ‘Season B Season.’
Its first episode of 2026 featured Nam Woo Hyun of INFINITE and Jung Taek Woon (Leo) of VIXX, who are currently starring in the musical 'Sugar,' as guests.
During the 14-minute video, Jung Taek Woon opened up about his concerns regarding his post-VIXX career, saying, “The group has become like a ‘shade’ (a protective shelter) for me now, and I find myself thinking a lot about the next step.”
He added that he once heard a senior artist say that success isn’t about being the best, but about being the one who lasts the longest.
In response, Rain, who’s been in the industry for more than two decades, advised, “The thing you have to be most careful about in the entertainment industry is becoming lazy.”
He continued by emphasizing that whether through exercise or other activities, you have to keep moving to clear your head. “Then, work starts to fall into place naturally. If things aren’t going well and you just stay still, that’s the end,” he added.
Rain further noted that staying idle only leads to laziness, which is often when “accidents and controversies” begin to surface.
