Actor Moon Sang Min and ILLIT member Minju will be leaving KBS2’s 'Music Bank.'
According to TenAsia’s coverage on January 28, Moon Sang Min and Minju are stepping down from their MC positions on 'Music Bank,' with the January 30 broadcast set to be their final appearance as hosts. Along with their departure, the show’s PD and writing staff are also reportedly being replaced.
Moon Sang Min has served as a “bank president” MC on 'Music Bank' since May 2024. He first worked alongside LE SSERAFIM’s Hong Eunchae and later teamed up with Minju as her co-host. Over the course of 1 year and 8 months, he showcased stable yet lively hosting skills. Minju took on the MC role in October 2024 and will be leaving the program after 1 year and 3 months.
Moon Sang Min is currently appearing as Lee Yeol in the KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'To My Beloved Thief.' The drama tells the story of a woman who accidentally becomes the greatest thief in the land and a royal prince who once pursued her, as their souls become intertwined. Together, they save each other and ultimately protect the people in a grand and dangerous romance. The series has been performing steadily with ratings in the 7% range.
His next project, the Netflix film 'Pavane,' is set for release on February 20. The movie follows three individuals who had closed off their hearts but gradually become each other’s light, learning to face life and love.
Meanwhile, ILLIT, the group Minju belongs to, will hold their first tour across seven cities in Korea and overseas. They will kick off with ‘PRESS START♥? in SEOUL’ on March 14–15 at Ticketlink Live Arena in Seoul.
