Lee Hyun Woo, one of the longest-running Radio DJs in Korea, continues to thrive across multiple fields and is returning to his musical roots as a singer.
Widely known as a dapper gentleman with a knack for cooking and a refined palate showcased on 'Wednesday Food Talk,' he has also built an impressive résumé in musical theater, revealing himself to be a true all-around entertainer. Despite his diverse activities, he has continued his involvement with his true calling in music.
With his continued efforts in the music industry, Lee Hyun Woo recently participated in the new 'Indie30' project, releasing the track "Tonight," a remake of Lee Jang Hyuk's original song.

Lee Hyun Woo's rendition of "Tonight" has been praised for capturing a deeper sense of sorrow and the raw loneliness of urban life than the original. Music critic Lim Hee Yoon lauded the release, offering high praise for its emotional intensity and refined sensibility, which is an example, many say, of what it truly means to be a senior artist supporting the next generation. She wrote, "His weary, faintly cynical voice seeps out in this manner, sounding as though it has let go of something, only to swell within the listener into an overwhelming emotional wave that comes crashing down all at once."
Meanwhile, 'Indie30' is a compilation initiative that will roll out 30 songs over 15 months in support of the indie music scene.
This compilation series selects standout indie tracks from the past 30 years and reinterprets them through collaborations between senior musicians, mainstream artists, and indie juniors known for their musical depth. The project aims to spotlight the remarkable legacy of Korea’s indie music over three decades. A passionate advocate of band music and rock, Lee Hyun Woo stepped forward as the opening act of the series, setting the tone as its first contributor.
