On January 7, Disney+ released the official trailer for its upcoming original series 'BLOODY FLOWER,' ahead of its premiere on February 4.
'BLOODY FLOWER' is a mystery thriller that follows the people surrounding a serial killer who possesses the extraordinary ability to cure all incurable diseases. The newly revealed teaser opens in a stark operating room, where Lee Woo Gyeom, played by Ryeoun, appears to be saving a life while dressed in surgical scrubs. The scene abruptly shifts to his arrest as a serial killer, immediately heightening tension and raising unsettling questions.
As the trailer moves between detention facilities and interrogation rooms, it begins to unravel the motivation behind why a man capable of saving lives would choose to kill. Midway through the teaser, attorney Park Han Jun, portrayed by Sung Dong Il, enters the story after taking on Lee Woo Gyeom’s defense in a desperate attempt to save his terminally ill daughter. In contrast, prosecutor Cha Yi Yeon, played by Keum Sae Rok, seeks to bring the case to a definitive close through a death sentence.
The trailer intensifies with the chilling phrase “murder to save the world,” intercutting medical demonstrations meant to prove the possibility of curing incurable diseases with fierce confrontations inside and outside the courtroom. The teaser concludes on a haunting note, as Lee Woo Gyeom delivers a cryptic line: “Can you handle it?”
With its morally complex premise and tense storytelling, 'BLOODY FLOWER' is set to pose a provocative question to viewers when it premieres exclusively on Disney+ this February.
