Comedian Jo Se Ho appeared in a preview segment of Netflix’s variety series 'SCREWBALLS 3,' drawing attention for his noticeably thinner appearance amid ongoing controversy.
On January 18, the production team of 'SCREWBALLS 3' released a preview of episode 11 ahead of its official release. The episode centers on a special segment for cast member Kim Sook, widely regarded as the show’s emotional pillar, under the theme 'Korea’s No.1 Premium Winter Camping.' An upgraded version of Kim Sook’s signature concept, titled “New Sookmakase,” will be unveiled.
In the newly released on site photos from the episode, Jo Se Ho stood out with a visibly gaunt look. He recently voluntarily stepped down from his regular appearances on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS2’s '2 Days & 1 Night' after becoming entangled in allegations linking him to organized crime. As news spread that footage featuring Jo Se Ho would be included in 'SCREWBALLS 3,' public attention quickly followed.
Meanwhile, Kim Sook shared, “I came two days early to prepare everything for the younger members,” as she introduced her carefully planned winter camping course. Embracing the dress code “Winter,” she transformed into a reformed Scrooge inspired character nicknamed “Sookcruge,” complete with graying hair and a magician like hat. Her elaborate menu included a seasonal fruit salad, gwamegi, fish cake soup made with freshly caught bigfin reef squid from Jeju, dongchimi prepared with mineral spring water from a famous mountain, and grilled eel.
Another highlight comes from Joo Woo Jae’s unexpected transformation. Covered in snow from head to shoulders and holding out an empty rice bowl, he elicited both sympathy and laughter. His character, dubbed “Judaegi Reporter,” reports from snow covered Gapyeong during a heavy snowfall, with his desperate delivery amplifying the comedic effect.
Singer Wooyoung, who was absent from episodes 1 and 2 due to acute enteritis, also appears in episode 11 with a noticeably thinner look. He joins Hong Jin Kyung and Jo Se Ho in a parody inspired by the film 'Home Alone,' with Hong Jin Kyung and Jo Se Ho portraying a two man burglar duo.
Jo Se Ho’s appearance in the previewed footage can be seen in episode 11 of Netflix’s 'SCREWBALLS 3,' which will be released on January 18.
