BLACKPINK’s Jennie proved her unrivaled presence once again, securing multiple trophies at the '40th Golden Disc Awards' and reaffirming her lasting influence as both a solo artist and group member.
The awards ceremony was held on January 10 at Taipei Dome, marking the seventh time the prestigious event has taken place overseas. The 'Golden Disc Awards' honor the most beloved Korean popular music releases of the year, serving as one of the industry’s most respected annual milestones. This year’s ceremony was hosted by singer Sung Si Kyung and actress Moon Ga Young.
On the night, Jennie was called to the stage three times. She won the Digital Song Bonsang as a solo artist, received another Digital Song Bonsang as a member of BLACKPINK, and was also honored with the Global Impact Award with Prism. Her consecutive wins highlighted the continued strength of her music and global reach.
Accepting her awards, Jennie shared, “It’s been a while since I attended the 'Golden Disc Awards,' and I’m really happy to meet fans again. This moment truly makes me realize how much love last year’s album received.” She went on to add, “I’m not sure if the members are watching, but I think Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa would be happy too. Thank you so much to BLINK.”
In addition, BLACKPINK was named to the 'Golden Disc Powerhouse 40' list, which recognizes 40 influential figures who have left a lasting mark on the history of Korean popular music. Although attending the ceremony alone, Jennie expressed her pride, saying, “Even though I’m here by myself today, I feel proud and happy. I’ll continue striving to be an artist who can have a positive influence.”
With her triple win at the '40th Golden Disc Awards,' Jennie has once again demonstrated why she remains one of the most powerful and celebrated figures in global K-pop today.
