Hwang Min Hyun and Ha Sung Woon revealed as key figures behind Wanna One reunion variety show

It has been revealed that Hwang Min Hyun and Ha Sung Woon played crucial roles in reuniting Wanna One for their upcoming variety program.

On an online forum, netizens reacted to a recent radio program interview featuring Ha Sung Woon, who spoke on air with DJ Park So Hyun. During the interview, Ha Sung Woon shared the previously untold story behind how the upcoming Wanna One reunion came to be, detailing its early beginnings and who was especially eager to make it happen.

He revealed that during the final episode of 'Boys Planet,' the program’s main PD, who also served as the main PD for their show 'Wanna One Go: ZERO BASE,' invited several available Wanna One members to attend the broadcast. Following the show, the group had dinner together, after which the PD and the attending members decided to meet again for a separate meal out of appreciation. 

During that second gathering, Hwang Min Hyun and Ha Sung Woon suggested to the PD that if his schedule allowed after the production of ZEROBASEONE, they should consider creating a reunion program with the Wanna One members.

Ha Sung Woon shared that Hwang Min Hyun, in particular, became enthusiastic about the idea after the dinner and took the initiative to contact the rest of the members regarding the potential reunion schedule, putting in considerable effort to persuade everyone to participate in a full group reunion.

Ha Sung Woon said, "We convinced the other members. Fortunately, they all agreed to carry out the plan. Because it would have only worked if everyone agreed. That's how the plan became successful."

After hearing these details, Park So Hyun commented that she had assumed Yoon Ji Sung "probably would have been the one to have contacted everyone to gather everyone," given that he was both the leader and the eldest member.

In response, Ha Sung Woon playfully added, "Yoon Ji Sung hyung doesn't really contact us."

Following the interview, Park So Hyun humorously clarified that she would set the record straight, emphasizing that it was in fact Ha Sung Woon and Hwang Min Hyun who played key roles in bringing the Wanna One members together for this upcoming schedule.

In related news, Mnet has confirmed that Wanna One will reunite through a new season of 'Wanna One Go,' which is currently slated for release in the first half of 2026. Kang Daniel will participate only partially in the filming due to his upcoming military enlistment.
