Husband of ‘Injection Aunt’ says claims that Key and Park Na Rae thought she was a doctor are a lie

The husband of A, the woman at the center of the so-called “Injection Aunt” controversy, has spoken out to deny allegations surrounding illegal medical practices, insisting that claims involving SHINee’s Key and comedian Park Na Rae are “a lie.”

On the January 24 broadcast of SBS’s investigative current affairs program 'Unanswered Questions' (Episode 1473), the show examined allegations that a non-medical individual had been involved in illegal medical practices, including administering injections to celebrities.

During the broadcast, the husband of the woman referred to as “Injection Aunt” reacted strongly when the 'Unanswered Questions' production team visited his home to request his statement. After warning the crew that he would call the police, he followed through and contacted authorities. He later appeared briefly while the production team was speaking with police officers and delivered a short statement.

“This is the only thing I’ll say,” he stated. “The claim that Key or Park Na Rae thought my wife was a doctor is a lie. A complete lie. We didn’t meet them at a hospital. We came to know them because our family has been involved in politics since we were young and has close ties with entertainment company executives. There isn’t a single person we met through a hospital.”

He further argued that he and his wife were victims who became entangled in a conflict between Park Na Rae and a former manager, insisting that the “Injection Aunt” allegations themselves were unfounded. Addressing claims that his wife personally administered injections, he said, “My wife isn’t even physically capable of giving injections. She’s left-handed and suffers from CRPS, which has caused stiffness in her left hand. Do you really think she could give injections in that condition? We are not ‘Injection Aunt.’ The real person people are talking about is someone else.”

Park Na Rae, who became embroiled in the controversy after allegations surfaced that she had received illegal medical treatment from a non-licensed individual, previously denied any wrongdoing. She explained that she had received nutritional IV treatment from a licensed physician through a house call and emphasized that no illegal medical practices had taken place. Despite her explanation, she announced a suspension of activities as the controversy continued.

The controversy has also affected SHINee’s Key, whose decade-long acquaintance with A was revealed through her social media accounts. His agency stated that Key had only recently learned that the individual was not a licensed doctor and was deeply confused, adding that he was reflecting on his lack of awareness. The agency announced his withdrawal from all ongoing programs.

Mukbang creator HAETNIM the short mouth also announced a pause in activities, stating, “I genuinely believed she was a licensed doctor. On days when I was busy, she came to my home, but I have never once visited her residence.” She added that she would take responsibility and step away from public activities.

As investigations and public scrutiny continue, the “Injection Aunt” controversy remains ongoing, with its impact continuing to ripple across the entertainment industry.
